How it works
- 1
Bring it in
Any old gold jewellery, coins or broken pieces. Bring your old bill if you have it, but you don't need one.
- 2
XRF test in front of you
We clean the piece and test purity on an XRF machine at the counter, then weigh it on a calibrated scale. You see both readings.
- 3
Get the value or exchange
We show the value at today's rate. Take it towards new jewellery, or ask for the buyback amount.
Exchange
Put it towards something new
The tested value comes off the price of new jewellery, at the same day's rate.
Browse jewellery →Buyback
Sell it to us
We pay for the gold after testing. We'll tell you the buyback figure next to the exchange figure, so you can compare before you decide.
Exchange and buyback policy →Questions
Do I need the original bill?
No. The value depends on the purity and weight we measure, not on where it was bought. An old bill helps if you want to compare.
Will you melt my jewellery in front of me?
Testing is done without melting, on an XRF machine at the counter. Melting happens later, only after you agree to the value.
What is the melting loss deduction?
Old jewellery loses a little metal when it is melted and refined, and solder and dirt add weight that isn't gold. The estimate on this page takes about 2% off for this; the exact figure is confirmed after testing.
What's the difference between exchange and buyback?
Exchange means the value goes towards new jewellery from us. Buyback means we pay you for the gold. We'll tell you both figures after testing, so you can choose.
What about stones and kundan work?
Stones, lac and other non-gold material are not paid for as gold. We deduct their weight after testing.
