Why does the gold rate change every day?
Gold is priced off the international market (in US dollars per ounce), the rupee–dollar exchange rate, import duty and local demand. When any of these move, the day's rate moves. The time of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
What is 916 gold?
916 means 91.6% pure gold, which is 22 karat. It is the standard for Indian jewellery because pure 24K gold is too soft to hold its shape. The remaining 8.4% is alloy that adds strength. 916 is stamped inside every hallmarked 22K piece.
Is this the final price of a piece of jewellery?
No. This is the metal rate per gram. A piece's price adds making charges, any stone charges and 3% GST. Every product page shows the full breakup at today's rate, so you can see each part.
